Hai Hong Nguyen is an honorary research fellow at the Centre for Policy Futures, the University of Queensland, Australia. Dr Nguyen is an expert in Vietnamese, Southeast Asian and East Asian politics, and international relations. His research also focuses on international relations in the Indo-Pacific region. Hai served in the Vietnamese diplomatic service and was a lecturer on politics and international relations before pursuing his doctoral studies in Australia. Dr Nguyen is a frequent writer for The Diplomat, Asia Times, and East Asia Forum about Vietnamese and regional politics and international relations.
